So I took my new "grabber" out for the first real life test, In just about 2 hours I snagged a dozen common but pretty insulators. This picture shows them with a preliminary bath, but next they need to be buffed with Bendick polish ( or tin oxide) to remove that RR glaze and restore the original glow. We got CD 147, a couple of 145 and of course the 154's of which a pulled down a few looking for two tones, this one has lots of microbubbles in the glass. The "Cup" worked to loosen these pieces, but bumping them was the real ticket. |
