Here is a tangent structure on the newly constructed 138kV transmission line. The conductors are still resting in the stringing dollies while the contractor is working on the final sag and dead ending of the cables. Sure like that they used glass suspensions on this new line, all Sediver / Seves brand glass. Note that the very first suspension in the string hanging from the steel arm is a 15-inch flat disc style suspension, these are used to help cut down on the amount of buzzard droppings that will contaminate the standard 10-inch suspensions that are hanging below it. A new trick the local utility is trying out on some of their transmission lines running through the farm land and help with outages.
