EXTREMELY RARE. This is the handled bell jar given away at the Christmas Party in 1941. Has wood handle and metal lid. The mouth is approx 1 7/8"the jar has two glass loops to attach handle to, THe jar is approx 6 1/4" tall (8 1/2"with handle) by approx 5 wide. THe front has a picture of jolly old santa claus embossed with Merry Christmas and holly leaves or mistletoe and bell and ribbon. THe reverse has Christmas Party 1941 embossed . THere is a glowing star above that, and a pointsetta and bell and ribbon. Below this reads Gayner Glass Works Salem, NJ Established 1879. There is also a rough textured band encompasses the jar near the base, and the base is also a rough texture. Jar is in excellent condition. Has small seed bubbles throughout the glass. THis is the ultimate Gayner Go- with just in time for your Christmas Display. THis jar is not even listed in the Red Book of Fruit Jars.
