For the toll specialist, here are a couple of competitors. The first is a CD 121 [030] (Dome) X1 (F-Skirt) BROOKFIELD (R-Skirt) [Five blots] SB in dark aqua with a few small bubbles and bits of snow sparsely scattered throughout, as is quite common for Brookfield-made pieces. It is VNM with a light scuff to the dome, three small pecks/fleabites to the rear skirt and upper wire ridge, and a short annealing line at the start of the threads. The second is a CD 121 [090] (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY (R-Skirt) PATENT/MAY 2 1893 SDP in aqua. In addition to the bubbles strategically placed in the front behind the "H" and below the "EM", there is a good-size (~1/4") piece of potstone behind the front lower wire ridge near the right mold line. (Click View Original, above.) There is also a smaller piece of white stone in the rear wire groove above the "P" in PATENT. I understand pieces of stone to be somewhat less common in Hemingray-made pieces. Damage consists of a single peck to the right side of the dome and a shark-fin chip to the lower rear skirt that takes out two drip points and halves a third. See [id=358338308]. The rest is VVNM with a couple of neat straw lines in the skirt. Both are clean and shiny and look great on a shelf together! Any takers at $12 for the pair shipped in the US? Sorry, no PayPal. Thanks for looking. |
