Finally I found a decent Insulator at a Auction! A Hemingray CD 113 No. 9 Error embossed and some light 7 up green No. 9's in the CD 106 style. These are located around here in northern Illinois along route 173 area north of Rockford, ill but only the farmers seem to have them now. The lines have been down for decades now..... This is my second one of the CD 113 from this area in ten years now. I spotted the insulator in a box lot at a local auction and was very surprised to see it. It sold along with the 6 green No. 9's, for a whooping $1 for the box. That seems the normal price of these in my area and at most farm auctions. My last one I bought at an auction about ten years ago just a mile north of this auction. The most recent auction was a consignment auction. So possibly from the same farmer in the area. This time it was an estate, so he may have passed on....... |
