Photograph taken on March 14, 1909. No wonder why telephone companies started to convert their circuits to twisted-pair, enclosed cable. And another prestine example is shown here why a lot of our insulators are not mint ;-)

Added note: I wonder if there was a fallen-insulator picker canvassing in the vicinity as noted by the basket in the lower foreground, lol (it probably held the cameraman's gear).
