Killed two birds at the same time last Saturday (9/22/12). Left my wife at a mall located in Lee, Mass.. After leaving her behind I followed the trail left me by a Craigslist connection to Hadley, Mass, where I knew at least five of these Brookfield Crebs were awaiting rescue. On the way I noticed a railroad line that went north and south of Hadley. Knowing that my guess would be that was the line these came from. They are all SN 18 made from what appears three different molds. Four have a number behind the 8. The other two look like they were made from newer made molds for that SN. They to would have been the best of the lot, but wouldn't you know it that somebody didn't respect the hoarders property when taking a look at them. One has a tadpole and a shallow slice flake coming up from the base to the wire groove. The other is loaded with milk swirls and has the same ailment but its slice is much wider and deeper. I also picked up the Hemingray CD 152 No 40. Has dark olive green swirls that go moved to the right when the threads were being made. Shame this insulator also suffered mistreatment while waiting a new home. Has a chip on the lower wire groove guide in the same area where the olive green swirl is the best. Darn! Still I was pleased by my efforts. I'm posting a couple pics in the collectors of the milky creb and I'm sure you will understand my pleasure then. It is awesome even with the ugly flake on the left side of the front skirt. The wonderful thing is the milk swirls display best from the patented side.
