I believe this community was served by a non-Bell telephone company for many years. Shown are some vintage electric distribution and open wire telephone lines along this road with wires criss-crossing above the unpaved roadway to subscribers. A pair of neat gooseneck-style street lights and a distribution transformer is also seen on the pole in the foreground.
