On the right is a great-looking and classic 6-pin over 10-pin telephone line. Most likely the 6-pin construction came first and the 10-pin arm was added later (after c.1910) after more subscribers connected to Ma Bell's switchboards.

The four-pin lines on the shorter pole line (on the left) very likely were for local electric lighting service.
