A metal "break" arm is see on the left-side pole on its top crossarm is physically and electrically "breaking" the street series circuit for the old time open-arc streetlamp also viewed here.

Electric distribution lines are seen along the left-side pole line with heavier cables for trolley service, lowermost.

The taller pole with the 10-pin crossarms toward the right most likely was for local telephone service.
