A few weeks ago I was out barn hopping looking at everything. I always ask the barn owners if they have any insulators. The usual response is no or I have a couple. The ones they do have are pretty much commons sometimes they have a nice color but not much. This woman said I have a few I use them as"DOOR STOPS" my first thought was hmmm mabey cable pieces. What she had was a CD 152- a CD 154- a CD 133 creb that was a cool piece...The 4th piece I thought from a distance was a CD 134??? No what was this?? OMG its a threadless and its an Oakman pat date. It had some base nibbles and what i thought was a dome crack. She really didn't want to sell them so I came back with 2 of my boys to talk again. We got the piece. When we cleaned it we were very very happy, What I thought was a dome crack turned out to be a graphite swirl. It was in really nice shape the dirt and dust were not hiding any damage. Our best find to date no doubt and a great New England Glass piece. Those tough to get pieces are still out there.
