Stirling City, CA c.1920, Interesting Crossover Pole!

These were for phone circuits. The telephone openwire that you see here is of the familiar West Coast construction with 16-pin crossarms (never used here in New England). A crossover crossarm on the *crossarm* on the right makes for some added interest!

Electric lighting service circuits were strung on top of this pole line (on the shorter crossarms...) as glass insulators glimmer in the sunlight along this rural road....
