Here's a couple of go-withs I came home with today. The battery Jar is embossed TELEPHONE BATTERY on one side, PILE LECLANCHE on the other and PAT MAY 23RD 1882 on the bottom. This jar has a molded indentation on the bottom of one corner as you can see in the photo. Probably for the jar to sit on a special base or holder so it couldn't move around. The Gayner canning jar has embossed MFD BY GAYNER GLASS WORKS SALEM, N.J. on the other side. Wondering if the canning jar is common, first one I've ever seen. Thanks for looking.
