Just trying to find the "M" number for this guy. It came off one of the AEL&P (Alaska Electric Light & Power) lines in Juneau AK not too many years ago, and showed up in Seattle last week courtesy of my loving mom who dropped in for a long-overdue visit. :) This particular insulator was *probably* pulled from the 69KV lines along Old Glacier Highway somewhere between the Gold Creek substation and Bartlett Memorial Hospital. I walked along these lines all the time as a kid. :) (Umbrella) {incuse} LOCKE / 19_28 I have the glass books, but none for our porcelain friends. Size is compared to the Hemi-42 next to it, as it would seem my yardstick is hiding today. :( The next pic in this series shows this insulator from an underside angle. |
