While walking RR tracks originally graded in the 1850s, I found a dump of 1910s items. Mostly bottles, there were some shard of clay pottery, pipes and pieces to multiparts. I have no clue how the multipart shards turned up here but most likely came off a 44,000 volt line built in 1912, following the Piedmont & Northern Railway tracks a few hundred feet away. I took home pieces of purple bottle with a name back home, identifying as a wine bottle dating around the 1910s. There was also medicine bottles in cobalt blue and really dark purple glass among clear and aqua, all of it broken.
