Also note that "Brown's Ponies" were mounted on the underside of the telephone crossarm pins of the middle arm. No doubt for extra space! Most probably electric lighting service circuits were strung along the lower the crossarms on this pole. A heavy duty direct current trolley circuit is seen in the foreground.
