Attended a large flea market Saturday of the three day Memorial weekend. Shortly after arriving I was given confusing direction from a couple that had seen a couple milk crates filled with them. Having walked the entire flea market once around I decided to give one more look in the area where that couple said they might be. Guess it was a good thing I didn't get back on my motorcycle and return home after all. My second attempt proved to be worth while after all. Even if somebody had purchased an entire crate I still managed to walk away with the two insulators pictured on the left in my pic. That almost didn't happen either. No sooner then I started digging in the crate they were in another collector from Brooklyn NY joined in on the digging. I wanted to tell him he had a lot of nerve and that he should wait until I was finnish being I was the first to find the crate. Fortunate for me I was quicker then he was at seeing the better insulators that were there. My technic was to grab and put aside quickly if I thought I would be interested while still looking further down into the crate. Whereas he would pick an insulator up and look it over really hard. End of story is, I don't believe the Brooklyn man purchased any. I knew the Brookfield Creb Pony was a green color. However, I didn't know it was embossed Wm BROOKFIELD / NEW YORK //O until I arrived back home and looked my treasures over. Also purchased from the same vendor is the beehive. It is a dark blue aqua base with lots of amber. Looks very dark green until held up good in the light. Twe remaining insulators are also Brookfields. The 121 is yet another blotout for me. Making 13 in total that now reside in my collection. The 164 is yet another unlisted one with the mold lines under the base. I've never been given any explanation about these even though I've posted in the questions/help album. Still would like to know. Maybe Don can make room in the next price guide.
