For whatever reason the phone lines dead-ended on the top crossarm here. Typically that was for terminations, and to paired cable. I cannot detect the forementioned from the original. However this kind of "primitive" telephone open wire architecture certainly is neat to see, albeit being a tad unusual too ;-)
