In the center of the photo is a strange looking insulator used only on a narrow gauge railroad connecting Bolivia with northern Chile. I have previously offered a smaller version of this insulator, identical to the glass example shown in the photo, but this is the first example of the larger version I've come across. It is unmarked. I will leave the tie wire on if you wish, or remove it and clean the insulator - buyers choice. The insulator has a small flat flake off the edge of one "ear" as the only damage. Also offered is a seldom encountered Spanish no-tie insulator. It dispalys mint, but has the tip of the rear no tie "finger" broken off and has a 2" long surface crack with dirt embedded also opposite the good side. I am offering both insulators together for $105 postpaid. The glass CD 527 is not included in this offer. |
