900 Spiral Grooves & Misc CREB Insulators Buried....I found this picture of the insulators that I buried back in 1970 in my back yard. This is a partial load of them here. New owner won't let me dig them up even though they are still not worth much after 42 years. This is when I started and The the Milwaukee Railroad main line ran next to our house less than a hundred feet away. So I was on those tracks every day for 4 years walking to school and ran home for lunch in a 1/2 hour and back a mile away. The school was a block away from the RR too. No wonder I was so skinny..Always was active.....Who runs or walks to school today?. I watched those tracks and help prevented a derailment when the rails broke apart at the joint on a curve. Bolts sheared and the rail opened up.... Just when I spotted it a hazardous rail train rolled over it but it was going only about 30 mph....whew!!!
