Cool lightniong arrester using the early "choke coil" tecnology. Manufactured by Foote, Pierson & Co. Inc. This is an Argus type A arrester and was patd. by William E. Athearn on August 28, 1900 I have a dozen more pics of different arresters in the "Go Withs" if you like this kind of stuff.
