This probably sounds strange coming from me, as a die-hard COLOR collector, but this CD 257 is one of my favorites in my collection. It's not "rare", not a "status symbol" or a "prestige" piece to run around bragging about (nothing wrong with that either IMO). It's just a plain old clear Mickey Mouse, although the ears seem to be thicker even than other regular common pieces. I have been doing some experimenting with different lighting effects, playing with a 10 year old Sony CyberShot, and took this photo earlier tonight. Would like to hear from you critics who take a lot of insulator photos, the lighting and techniques you like to use, where I need to improve on my pictures, etc. Anything that would help me out in becoming a better glass photographer, as I realize how difficult it can be to photograph glass insulators and/or bottles. Thanks very much. |
