Also gracing this pole is an incandescent, gooseneck-style street light made by the Wheeler Reflector Company. The latter was operated in street-series and the reflector was of the then-new "double walled" design which promised longterm reliability in Wheeler's testimonials. That surely must have been true. There was a Wheeler street light just like the one you see here in front where I grew up in Brockton, MA. It was installed by the Brockton Edison Company and was still in working condition when "upgraded" to a so-called modern luminaire in 1967.
