In late November 2011 a removal crew worked from Spartanburg, SC and is now past Spruce Pine, NC removing poles from the Clinchfield Railroad. By great luck, the crew would unbolt the arms and dump them near the pole stump or on the opposite side of the tracks. I noticed the removal was just cutting the pole and throwing it on the railcar. They must have wanted the poles!

A new bridge was built years ago and a pole was repositioned. My friend Seth and I found the old stump with this arm on the ground. Its hard to see but there is a clear Armstrong CD 155 on the ground near the bottom left.
