There seems to be a lot of confusion amongst those interested about the different mold types of early Hemingray No.9's, so I took some photos to try and do a pictorial. The earliest one will have no drips and look like the one on the left. I omitted this one and a Prismic on the the right, as these are pretty obvious and do not need clarity like the ones shown. Hemingray No.12's can be found in the latter 3 types and I will post a photo of those as well. [id=335241189]

L to R

1. Transition mold, this is a reworked SB mold with added patent date on rear skirt and added drips. Note: no underline below "o" in No. 9

2. 1st series new Script with added underline.

3. EVO 1 Type with boldly engraved, but a loose, more "handwritten" look to the lettering. The "9" has a very distinctive look in all molds from this series.

4. EVO 2 Type, denoted by lightly cut engraving, but a very linear, concise engraving, much like Prismic.

View in "Original" to better see detail. I know a lot of people are confused about the differences between these early types. Feel free to email me any time if you have questions. Always happy to discuss early Hemi ponies.
