I was taking this picture for a friend. Front lit with a light tent to diffuse the light so you get the details of the glass and the pin and no hot spots on the glass.

This is about as "yellow" as these HG yellows get. The Hemi yellows are slightly more yellow.

The main reason for posting this was to show the photograph, not this specific insulator. But it did make a nice subject!

This was taken with my 10+ year old camera which is only 2MP, hand held. A quick snap shot... so no comments that there are problems with your camera when you can't get a good picture! Technique is important... Even "View Original" shows pretty good detail.
