Up for sale is a great little trio of these squatty early Canadian threaded pieces. These were used along just about every Great North Western owned telegraph line in the country, not to mention some that undoubtedly weren't. Probably one of the most appealing little "common" insulators in Canada, these turn up at threadless era pole sites pretty regularly as later replacement insulators, but really you can't expect to come up to Canada and find lines just full of the things as they don't seem to turn up by the basket full - just one here or there mixed in with some other common glass. Either way, they are an interesting bunch. The piece on the left is the [010] embossing, while the other two are the [050] embossing with G.N.W. blotted out before the DWIGHT embossing. The piece on the left is somewhat bubbly, while the centre piece is just plain squatty. The piece on the right is the same embossing as the middle piece, but as you can see it is a somewhat more unusual green aqua colouration with some milky swirls throughout the glass - a colour and impurity combination that doesn't turn up too often in the realm of Dwight Patterns. The condition of all three is good. The GB example at left has a 1/8" ping on the rear upper wire ridge, the middle piece is kind of frosted and has some scuffing on the rear crown, and the green aqua piece has a 1/2" by 3/8" flake on the left side of the base, and a 1/8" ping on the right crown. This last piece displays quite well, though. I'm asking $19.00 U.S. plus shipping for the trio. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before.
