Up for sale is this great pair of crudely made B CD 145s. The example on the left is the elusive [030] SDP B CD 145. This example is especially nice due to the presence of an abundance of amber swirling all throughout the rear skirt and crown, as somewhat visible in the photo. This piece is marked with the classic "OX" on the dome top. Some collectors have bent over backwards just to get their hands on one of these in the past. This one is comparitively affordable. On the right is a [070] B No. 44 CD 145 - an often crude style, but this one is exceptional due to the presence of a dramatically off-centre pinhole giving the piece a fantastic look of asymmetry. On the left side of the pinhole is a measely 1/4" of glass in the dome area, while in the same area on the opposite side of the insulator there is around 5/8" of glass! Fantastic crudity. Nice dimple on the inside of the skirt area on this one, too.

Both pieces are in good condition. The SDP piece (famously tough to find in good shape), has a single 1 1/4" lightly discoloured fan crack on the right side of the skirt (visible in the photo), and a single partially nicked drip. As well, there are four drips which have open bubbles in their tip. Apart from that there are few scattered pinpricks on the rear half of the insulator, and a single one on the front crown. The B No. 44 has a short 1/4" vertical annealing crack in the rear base, a small open bubble on the front crown, and a 1/2" shallow flake to the sharp inner base edge in the front (visible in the upper photo) which is pretty normal for one of these as the {MLOB} RB pieces are prone to damage on the inner base edge. Apart from that it looks to be in good shape.
