Up for sale is a pair of difficult to find Hemingray CD 145s with embossing errors. Both of these pieces were picked here in S.W. Ontario among a sea of less interested, un-errored pieces. The example on the left is a light aqua piece, but is apparently unlisted. The closest embossing is the [065] embossing with a blotout behind the '1' in 'No. 21', though this piece clearly does not have a blotout, but rather a big mass of embossing which vaguely resembles a '2'. It appears that the engraver placed a '2' where a '1' should have been, and rather than blotting out his error simply stamped a '1' over top. The example on the right is Hemingray blue and is the [082] embossing with the 'Y' in 'HEMINGRAY' embossed over top of a sideways 'Y'. Quite the interesting error on both pieces! The example on the left is in fantastic shape, with just three partially nicked drips, and a small NGM flake on the rear upper ridge that is less than 1/4" wide and is nearly invisible. The Hemingray blue piece has 6 drips chipped mostly off around the left mould line and a bit of scratching in the rear wire groove. All in all, not too bad! I'm asking $21.00 U.S. plus shipping for the pair. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before.
