Up for sale is a great old Brookfield CREB Erie Railroad CD 133 in the [220] embossing. This piece came from a box of like insulators (several ER CD 133s) found at a yard sale around the Salamanca, NY area in 2010. This piece was sooty as could be when it was first presented to me along with its brethren, but it has since cleaned up to look like new after no doubt several decades of service for the railroad. This piece is a little more exceptional than the average ER CD 133 in a few ways. First off, it has extremely strong front and rear crown embossing. This trait is rarely encountered in many CREB insulators, and these ER pieces are certainly no exception. As well, this piece is just full of milky swirls which swirl throughout the piece up from the skirt right into the dome. The dome of the piece resembles a catseye marble, but in white swirls. A fantastic piece! The condition of the insulator is fantastic. I can't really see anything wrong with it, apart from the pair of open bubbles in the front skirt (as visible in the photo), and a tiny (less than 1/8") flat flake on the rear skirt. I'm asking $29.00 U.S. plus shipping for this exceptional piece. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before. Please feel free to look through my previously unsold items in the "For Sale (Not Sold)" folder, and combine purchases to save on shipping |
