This pole originally lead the 12kv catenary feeders out of the substation, which is what the bottom crossarms were for. Amtrak extened the pole in the 80's to make one of the 138kv circuits bypass the substation. This line runs from the Safe Harbor Dam, where the 25hz power is generated, to another PRR substation at Royalton PA where it meets up with the main line. There was another 138kv circuit that is abandoned.
