Up for sale is a downright scarce (or rare?) insulator - one I was attempting to pick up one of each mould style of before I realized they are apparently too sparsely available for me to ever locate one of each. This piece is the none-too-common [070] Brookfield embossing to begin with, with a backwards "N" in "No. 48" on the rear skirt and the characteristic late-stage Brookfield rounded base, or MLOB. The colour of the piece is most certainly a very bright and vibrant yellow green - not a washed out shade like the straight up "green" in the price guide suggests. I imagine this piece is unlisted. This is one of only three I have ever seen in this beautiful colour. As well, the glass in this one is full of small bubbles and there is even a small amber tadpole in the front skirt. I would love to hear from anyone that has seen these in any quantity. The condition of the piece is good, with the only significant damage being a 3/8" chip on the rear upper wire ridge, as visible in the photo. The only other damage consists of a few scattered fleabites on the front upper wire ridge, and front skirt below the embossing. These really do not show up at all, especially with the dark colouration of the piece. There is also a small amount of roughness around the inner base edge, characteristic of these RB pieces. I'm now asking $42.00 U.S. plus shipping for this tough bird - an absolute must have for the discerning CD 152 specialist... and I know there's at least one of those out there. :P I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before. Please feel free to look through my previously unsold items in the "For Sale (Not Sold)" folder, and combine purchases to save on shipping. |
