Fire Alarm Insulators Crebs

These were pulled off a fire alarm system that was installed in 1886. They sat in a barrel for decades until we went thru them. The red peg is the actual color used as was the cross arm & its bigger than the standard ones we have found on RR tracks. The spikes and date nails were also found on our hikes. Another great find on our adventures.
