The more modern type styles of this canyon clamp are today made from an aluminum alloy. These canyon clamps were used on transmission circuit spans traversing the very top to the extreme bottom of the rugged PG&E Northern California canyons. The solid Brass type are most uncommon. I would bet that Lou "The Pin man" Hall has several in his stash.
