Power Line Re-Build

This foto looks west and they are getting closer to the end point of the line rebuild. Here, they are pulling the ropes which pull the new wire thru the pulleys. They use a smaller truck for this with the ropes simply tied on the side of it. Every worker watches this close so the new wire does not get routed wrong or snagged as it is pulled. This change over became problematic when the top insulator on the pole pin of the old pole was right in the way of the new wire. The lineman in the bucket grumbled a few expletives and had to hand unbolt the pole pin and push it down out of the way. It was getting close to quitting time!
