I've just come home after a hunting trip in Italy together with my collecting friend Guido Boreani. In the time to come I will post some pictures here of our hunt, in which we did find some really nice pieces! This first pic shows me climbing an old steel telephone pole of a beautiful design with its pointed top, proudly holding one insulator in my hand. The insulators are red banded ones of the older Italian design, with rounded skirt and a "fat" look. I call them "belly" insulators. The pole is situated ca 500 meters above the city of Genova, so the view was just gorgeous, the picture just don't make it justice!!
