This unique piece, manufactured by Porzellan-Industrie-AG Berghaus, was produced during WWII and was quite an ingenious way to consolidate metal for the war effort and make an insulator bracket and insulator together in one piece.

There is one small chip on the top corner of the bracket part of the insulator as seen in the photo. The piece will include a photocopy of a 2 pg. company ad depicting the insulator in use and a copy of the patent from 1937.

Another example was featured in one of Ray Klingensmith's auctions around 1996 and more information can be found in the Dec. 1994 issue of Crown Jewels of the Wire.

At the time of originally purchasing this piece from Caleb Thimell, there were 3 or 4 of these in private collections in this country. I doubt many more are around.

I'm asking $500 plus shipping and insurance.

Thanks for looking!
