Up for sale is a rather scarce Hemingray CD 106 in what appears to be a still-unlisted embossing error. I had turned one of these up several years ago from an antique store, and was lucky enough to find a second of the same embossing style a couple years ago. I had decided to hold onto it, but I think it would be more greatly appreciated in someone elses' appreciative hands!

The piece I sold previously is [id=214487883;here]

The embossing on this piece is as follows;

(f-skirt) HEMINGRAY / No 9

(r-skirt) PATENT / MAY 2 1893 {'MAY 2 1893' is engraved over 'No 9'}

SDP

This mould style is apparently quite thick, as the last piece I owned was even thicker and heavier than this one. The skirt, though short, is about 1/2" to 5/8" thick in most places, as the threads continue almost to the base of the piece. All in all, a crude and apparently scarce variety! This one has the added bonus of a nice, well-defined amber swirl running through the left side of the skirt, and up into the crown.

The condition of this piece is better than the last one I sold. There are no wire groove chips, but a bit of scratching (as is normal for any insulator that has seen service). There are 10 of its tiny, closely spaced drips that are at least partially nicked off - not bad for one of these, considering the number of the things and how fragile they are.

I'm asking $32.00 U.S. plus shipping for this tough piece. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before. Please feel free to look through my previously unsold items in the "For Sale (Not Sold)" folder, and combine purchases to save on shipping.
