Here is a more recent (103 years later) view of the Pelzer hydroelectric power plant, after a full restoration. They did an excelent job with this. Three 750 KW generators, one still has the original 1894 copper windings. A smaller 250KW generator is in the foreground. The small AC voltage generator which was in the foreground in the 1894 photo is no longer present, in 1997, and the power take-offs and leather drive belts are no longer in use..
