Early porcelain signs

These classic signs were used on the Spartinburg- Gaston Shoals line . The blue/ white one dates from around 1907 when the line was built and has the name of the company that built the Gaston Shoals hydro plant. remarkably these old signs can be found in fairly good shape at the bases of towers as they tended to fall off when the old tie wires rusted away.
