Up for grabs is this great amber swirled [010] Brookfield CD 152. The amber doesn't show as well as I'd like in these photos, but the piece has a great, descending "water fall" of amber swirls in the front crown which runs around into the rear crown as a thick swath. The "waterfall" also runs down into the front skirt through the wire groove, in a thick veil about 2 1/2" tall before spreading out to the left of the embossing. The view up through the skirt shows the thin veins of amber running all throughout the skirt, while the amber in the crown is a little darker and thicker. This piece was picked up off the ground from along the former Great Western Railway near Woodstock, Ontario. A great line, and known for its occurrences of No Name "No. 40" CD 152s, but not for amber-filled Brookfield products like this. A great piece! The condition of the piece is good. The only damage I can see is an area of scratching on the left crown about 1" long and 1/2" wide. Apart from that, there are two small light flashover marks on the rear upper skirt about 1/4" by 3/4", and a bit of scratching in the wire groove. I'm asking $12.00 U.S. plus shipping for this outstanding ambered junker. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before. Please feel free to look through my previously unsold items in the "For Sale (Not Sold)" folder, and combine purchases to save on shipping. Album Up to the For Sale |
