Photo taken during May 1966 near the intersection of Cabrillo Avenue and 237th Street. The street light fixture you see here was an incandescent and operated within a 6.6 ampere street series lighting loop. All of the pole-line architecture you see was owned by the Southern California Edison Company. These old lights were removed many years ago in favor of more energy-efficient mercury and high pressure sodium luminaires. The mastarms could still remain... |
