Scarce Early Siemens Telegraph Insulator Pending

Here's an early porcelain insulator encased in galvanized steel marked: SIEMENS 1 PATENT (dome) L. (skirt). [id=326823604]. Never seen one of these marked with the "L." [id=326824081] before now. Possibly abbreviation for Langdon? These were made to protect them from rock throwing kids and in some cases natives who were hostile to their lands being invaded. A very early threaded style (circa 1880-1910) typically reserved for use on telegraph lines due to extra expense to make and use them. For a look at the porcelain insulator inside [id=326832003]. Looks Mint to me.
