Up for sale this evening is a shining example of the [015] G.N.W. TEL. Co. CD 145 listing, with the scarce small 'o' in "Co.". Insulators of this embossing style are probably about one in sixty to G.N.W. TEL. CO. marked pieces with a large O. What's more scarce still are examples in good condition. This piece has that going for it! The colour of the insulator is a light greenish aqua - pretty normal for these. This piece does not have the G.T.P. blotout that some small 'o' pieces do have. I always assumed this style to be around turn of century in age, and these were used along many Canadian railways. For reference, I personally dug this piece on April 9th, 2002 not far from my hometown - this one was no doubt a jewel to me in those early days of collecting, after having found dozens of these small 'o' pieces smashed up. As mentioned, the condition of this piece is exceptionally good - the only damage I see is a 1/8" wide microflake on the rear base edge, and a bit of scratching in the wire groove. I doubt you'll find a better example! I'm asking $15.00 U.S. plus shipping for this piece. I accept PayPal, money orders or bank cheques, or personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I have dealt with before. Please feel free to look through my previously unsold items in the "For Sale (Not Sold)" folder, and combine purchases to save on shipping. Album Up to the For Sale |
