I was going to wait to sell this until I'd given it a nice bath, but my wife keeps bugging me to "get rid of that ugly thing" so here it is! The coloring on this piece is a great green, really stands out from the aqua creb on the left and the green aqua on the right. Tons of bubbles, some firebrick, a really neat bubble that begins in the center of the front skirt and wraps around the whole piece (6") to the left mold line, and a great milky mass in the wire groove area that makes that section appear jaded. Embossing as best I can tell is: 1/0 (embossed over a 6)/W. Brookfield/55 Fulton St. NY.//Pat Feb 22nd 1870/Jan 25 (26?) 1870/Jan 14th 1879. Condition is good with only a base nibble, two TINY pings on the dome, and one TINY tick on the dome. None of these distract from looking at the insulator. This is a really great, wrinkly crude piece. $125 plus shipping. I'm willing to consider partial trades. Thanks, Eric |
