This is a Conferderate Egg with another portion of an egg melted to it. The Confederates burnt the Richmond Depot to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. Many specimens were destroyed or melted. While doing construction along the level, construction encountered the remains of the depot and many artifact collectors were looking for belt buckles, buttons, etc. In the process, insulators were found. This is a great conversation piece. It seems the majority of the eggs were blackglass. This piece is aqua, as can be seen form the photos. $190 SHIPPED in the lower forty-eight states. First email that says I want it. I just lowered the price and this is bottom dollar. This comes from my specialty collection. |
