The repair in process... I had to cut away the crown and upper skirt remnants from the droner to get just the complete unbroken inner skirt . I then ground the old damaged broken off skirt from the keeper top. I was able to preserve the glaze-weld joint so that only the inner skirt porcelain body was removed this repair took about four hours of careful work. I used a diamond cutting blade, a diamond hole saw and a round flat grinding wheel .... the crown in the photo will be used for doner material to repair two chips on top. [id=325993514] for a look at the completed repair. I spoke to Chris hedges on the way out west and he said he had NEVER seen a Mershon in any condition on a Springfield sales table before... and now 2 at the same show ...???
