I have to say this year's Springfield show had to be one of the best ever. I arrived fired up with a new collecting interest – porcelain from New York – and I brought back SO many new pieces – classic Fred Lockes, Lapps, Pincos, Victors, and I still found a couple neat glass pieces for the foreign and Oakman collections. Thanks to Matt Kancle's generosity I was even able to bring home a couple fugly skytone + RFI ANSI types to fill in a few Victor historical gaps without paying anything! This is the whole shebang: 23 insulators, two ashtrays and four miniatures. . I think this was the biggest show haul for me since I was a kid, hunting around in everyone's bargain boxes for anything different.
