Very unusual porcelain service drop insulator and hardware

This is a very different type residential service drop insulator with hardware combination. The cobalt blue spool designates the neutral phase here in COPCO country but the real unusual insulator is the large brown porcelain donut attached to the spool hardware being used as a service drop anchor point. These were a real pain in the A%& to assemble and use so most were ash caned at the earliest opportunity.

I have kept a few over the years and even have a four donut combo I kept just because it was so different. I have seen a few of these brown donut porcelain insulators at shows but always without any of the correct hardware. Now you all know what that donut you have rolling around in the collection was actually used for!
