These rarely seen Pyrex insulators are visible on the 66kv phase closest to you in this image. Pasadena, CA has its own municipal light division. When I was in the LA vicinity in 1996 I believe this is the same line Jeff Kaminski and I took some cool pictures of. As far as I know, few..if not VERY few... Corning Pyrex glass insulators were used in the Los Angeles vicinity. Photo taken near the intersection of Grove Boulevard and Raymond Avenue.
